Reefers are essential for worldwide trade of food (fruit, meat, fish, vegetables, dairy) and non-food products like flowers and pharmaceuticals containers are often used for cool storage of food and beverages. used for goods that need to be temperature controlled during shipping. The generator blows cold air along the floor or side into the container on one side of the reefer. The floor is T-shaped and distributes the airflow below the cargo unobstructed height of 2.50 meters and an inside width of 2.28 meters. All standard reefer containers are built to maintain a temperature between +25° C and -25° C for chilled and frozen cargo. A certain percentage of the global reefer fleet is also capable of maintaining a temperature down to -35° C or even lower. Special containers (super freezers) can maintain a temperature down to -70° C.
